Announcing Our Tenants!

We are delighted to announce that we have appointed Roger and Emie Hawkshaw as the tenants to run our pub.

Roger and Emie met in 2000 working together in a two AA Rosette restaurant in Dartmouth. Roger then went on to become Sous Chef to John Burton-Race, in the Michelin starred kitchen at The New Angel, Dartmouth. They have worked together on and off ever since, with their last joint venture at the Barbury Inn, Broad Hinton, where after just 9 months they came second in Wiltshire Life magazines pub of the year! Following this he went to work at The White Horse in Compton Bassett, where they have just been awarded two AA Rosettes. 

They have two young boys, and Mojo, a cheeky Border Collie. They have been living in the local area for several years and are extremely excited about the opportunity to join with us as tenants at The Winterbourne.

"We only cook food that we are prepared to eat ourselves. We create our menus from seasonal produce, and we don’t compromise on flavour and quality ingredients, no matter how humble."

Roger and Emie will be moving in during August and are aiming to open for lunch and dinner service in early September. They are both extremely excited about the opportunity that lies ahead of them and are looking forward to inviting all our members, friends and past customers into our pub to enjoy their hospitality.

In the meantime, our kind volunteers will be continuing to open the bar at the following times:

- Wednesday 6pm - 8pm

- Thursday 6pm - 9pm

- Friday 6pm - 10pm
